Editor's review
This is an audio recorder and editor that help post-production processing.
Total Recorder Editor Pro can record any sound passing through your sound card. Thus you can record sound being played back by an external program, a game, sound from a microphone, an external LP, cassette, CD/DVD player, AM/FM/Satellite radio etc. Recorded sound can be saved in WAV, MP3, OGG or WMA formats. You would be able to open, create, and save audio files in any of these formats and save any portion of a loaded file to disk as a new file too. Any of these recorded files can be converted any of the other formats supported by the program. Recorded track is displayed as a waveform display making it easy to apply cut-paste kind of editing to the audio. Clipboard operations also can be used. The sound editor allows you to cut, trim, and merge your recordings. This is facilitated by the ability to zoom in to very specific points on the waveform. You can even be selective and mark start and end points where some edit is to be done. Cut, Copy, Delete Selection, Delete Silence, Paste, Paste From File, Mix, Mix From File etc. are the possible operations.
Filters like BandPass Filter, FFT Filter, HighPass Filter, HighShelf Filter,LowPass Filter, LowShelf Filter, Notch Filter and effects like Amplify, Compressor, Delay, Equalize, Fade In and Fade Out, Flanger, Invert, Normalize, Phaser, Reverb, Reverse, Silence, Shrink, Stretch, Vibrato, etc. can be used to process the tracks further. Ripping audio CDs and the ability to add or edit tag data such as album, artist, comments, copyright, genre, title, year, etc. makes this quite an all round audio tool. It is good to have such a feature rich tool around when you want to keep your music collection in top condition.
